I Think I'm Falling
From Winds of Change
I Think I'm Falling
‘I Think I’m Falling’ is the album’s first real tempo drop, and it earns the change. After three tracks that have held a fast or brisk pace, the waltz feel here gives the verses a gentle, off-kilter unsteadiness that mirrors the lyric perfectly. PCBender writes the bridge first and earns the chorus second, and that instinct pays off: when the song finally opens into ‘Hold me close, don’t let me go,’ the shift from sparse and intimate to a wide, dense wall of sound lands with real force. The final couplet, ‘maybe in the falling, I’ll learn how to rise,’ could tip into cliche, but the production earns it by the time you get there. Sitting at the album’s center, this track functions as both a pivot and a pause, slowing the record down without losing the emotional stakes that the first three songs built. It doesn’t break the album’s momentum so much as redirect it, and the two songs that follow it benefit from the ground it clears.
Lyrics
Drifting through the silence, I can't find the ground Every word unspoken, still echoes all around
I'm caught between the shadows, the sun, and the rain Lost within the echoes, the joy and the pain Reaching for an answer, but it slips away Every step I'm taking pulls me further astray
I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too fast again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too far again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too much again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling apart
The stars are falling faster, the sky's caving in A thousand voices whisper, but none of them win The ground feels like it's shifting, the air's growing thin I'm chasing after something, but I'm lost within
I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too fast again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too far again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too much again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling apart
Hold me close, don't let me go I'm slipping through the cracks below The light is faint, but I can see A part of you that's saving me
I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too fast again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too far again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling too much again I think I'm falling. I think I'm falling apart
But maybe in the falling, I'll learn how to rise Find myself in the pieces, and reach for the skies
